Worlds Greatest Chocolate Cake!

Chocolate Heaven

Chocolate Heaven

Yes, Dear Reader,

I claim no less than This Is Chocolate Heaven, and it floats there among all the fluffy marshmallow clouds all alone. It is a master piece of taste and smell, and what Mighty Sam McClain is for Blues, this Cake is the cake for the Chocolate world. The Chocolate cream is out of this world, and I never end up with the allotted amount to cover the cake. That I camouflage with goodies that my daughter gets to choose, as you can see from the picture above, Dear Reader.

I found the recipe at http://www.detsoteliv.no/oppskrift/cafe-stings-sjokoladekake, and it is swimming in eggs, sugar and cream and other goodies.

For the English reading Reader, I will translate the recipe:

Chocolate cake:
125 g butter
1 dl water
3 ss cocoa
1 ts vanilla sugar
4 eggs
250 g sugar
150 g flour
3 ts baking powder

Chocolate cream:
2 eggs
1 dl cream
135 g sugar
50 g baking chocolate – must be quality chocolate, no Hershey chocolate here, ABitch comments.
125 g butter
1 ts vanilla sugar

Chocolate cake:

Melt the butter in a sauce pan, and add water, cocoa, and vanilla sugar. Take the sauce pan off the heat, and whisk in the egg yolks with an electric mixer. Add then sugar, flour and baking powder. Stir the dough, and at the end add carefully the egg white from the eggs which have been whipped into a white foam.

Have the dough in a round form (24 cm in diameter) with baker paper covering the bottom. Bake at the bottom rack at 175 C for about 45 min. Take the cake out let it cool. Take the cake out and the baking paper away, and split the cake in two to fill it with the chocolate cream.

Chocolate cream:

Add cream, eggs and sugar in a sauce pan, and mix while you heat it till it boils. Take it off the heat, and stir in the chopped chocolate so it can melt. Add butter and vanilla sugar. and then stir till the butter has melted. Put the chocolate cream in the fridge to cool, at least two hours. While that is happening, try not to eat it up…it is a very trying task! After cooling, whip it up with a mixer to get a lighter color.

Fill the cake, decorate it and just get a trip to Chocolate Heaven.

Have a good lunch, Dear Reader, maybe there are time for some chocolate cake this weekend…

ABitch
