Dear Readers!

I got a lot of good feedback to my last blog post, and I do like that people read and get involved in what I think is important. We do get bombarded with impressions and news and opinions from everyone all the time in these “feeling and meaning” times. To get through, and to get reflection today, one need close to a hammer to get to people.

I like to share my thoughts with others, since I feel I got my share of experience to maybe make someone smile, or do a nice thing for others, or reflect in a little different way in our hurrying daily life.

But if you think this is something new; that people are hard to get to listen, you are not fully correct!

I like Winston Churchill, and he had a very hard and lonely job during the 2. WW. He had a lot of quotes that I think reflected his wit and his self insight, and several has stuck with me though my life. One of these is, and I think he is wholly right:

“If you have an important point to make, don’t try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time-a tremendous whack.”

But it can be done tastefully, or not, and with feelings and facts on the same time.

Since it is only two days to the weekend, it is time to get your wine lined up. I had a very good wine earlier this week, and it was a 2013 Nuiton-Beaunoy Cave des Hautes-Côtes La Dalignière Hautes-Côtes. Fra Bourgogne, France. It was very nice to duck and red wine sauce.

The bottle went way too fast…it needed some air, so it is recommended to open it a little bit earlier than you are going to serve it. The cost was 179.90 NOK and yes, it was good.

Have a good weekend, Dear Reader.
